Folding furniture collections designed for Louis Vuitton become part of the collection “Objects Nomades” presented at Salone del Mobile 2015. Furniture labeled Concertina chairs and tables by London-based design studio Raw-Edges indeed can be folded, but not the kind that can be folded As you think. Folded furniture is usually very light, flat and practical, but this furniture is able to create a seat that will grow from flat to full, from closed to open, revealing something special and surprising when really developed. Concertina concept is driven by the opening movement like a Japanese fan, the chair uses a sloping knife to turn the angina fan into the seat. A zipper on the back and a comfortable buckle on the front serves to lock the chair in a sitting state. This chair is also very practical because you can immediately close it back into a closed fan after you are finished using it.
