Atelier SAD designed a spacious house for a family of four. Uniquely, this house is built on a relatively small plot of land and carries the concept of a passive house. For those of you who don’t know what a passive house is? Broadly speaking, a passive house is a dwelling that carries the concept of energy saving and affordable costs. So, this house utilizes energy from natural materials such as wind, sunlight, and others.
During the construction, two houses were moved axially around a mature lily tree so that the entrance was protected by a tree crown. The two masses intersect at the junction by a lightweight staircase studded with stainless steel mesh.
The interior of the house is maximized on the whole residence with a downstairs garage, living room, sauna and clean storage area. On the first floor there is a living room, hall and kitchen, while the sliding facade and terrace form a connection with the garden and surroundings. All bedrooms are on the second floor and the house also has a solar power generator and heat pump. Enjoy the tour!
