When it comes to storage space, of course there are always creative ways to recycle, reuse and renovate old items into great storage spaces. Like lockers that are synonymous with antiques and how do we give them new life but still maintain their story and character. Putting these items into the house besides making it more special and giving a cool touch to any room style. Metal lockers are one of my favorite parts that can be remodeled, refreshed, and applied to your home. Lockers not only provide extra storage space, they also have a timeless industrial vibe.
Add style to your locker
Some people have fond memories of their metal lockers, and bringing them into your home will both inspire nostalgia and benefit your organization. Lockers can go with any style you want, whether it be contemporary, modern, Scandinavian, minimalist, retro or industrial? Although it depends on the colors and patterns you want to feature, almost anyone can use lockers as part of the décor.
How to decorate lockers for home
Lockers are synonymous with shabby chic metal pieces, but you can decorate them and give them a fresh look or even change their function. Color your old locker with a variety of bright and cheery accents, use green, pink, navy, pastel, or even a bright neon color. You can create stencils or add unique patterns like polka dots or geometrics. If you want to use it in a child’s room, decorate it with magnets, photographs or chalk. You can also modify a locker by removing some of the pieces and creating an open storage compartment, which could be a nightstand, display cabinet, or wall-mounted storage unit. The locker can even be used as a plant stand, just open and remove the door. You can make almost all storage needs with a locker so that it allows you to be more creative.
Put lockers in the house
There is no rule where you have to place lockers in the house. They can be put anywhere: bedroom, living room, home office, mud room, bathroom, and anywhere else you need storage area. Skinny lockers can fill a corner of a room, low lockers can be an alternative to a TV console or nightstand. There is a wide variety of colors and sizes that you can choose from, making it easier for you to find a piece of metal that fits your space.
