Uniquely, Ruby Ridge House is also located on a challenging wedge-shaped site that borders two suburban streets. Some other unique materials such as roofing simple mono and curved edges, cedar-lined walls, and dynamic design that directs the view to the amazing alpine panorama.
This house has two types of cedar cladding with dark and warm stains, accentuating the outline of the windows and roof. The plank-shaped concrete contrasts with the wood, and the two materials blend into the interior, providing visual consistency inside and out.
The living room is located around a courtyard which is protected, provide privacy, and flows seamlessly from the interior of the body of the house providing windbreaks and visual barrier. Connected by stacked aluminum sliders, this courtyard also becomes an extension of the living area and can be enjoyed all year round. There is a plank-shaped outdoor fireplace for cooler evenings or as an area to warm up during the holidays.
The living room and bedroom are located in the north wing of the house with a charming open concept, where the best views will always spoil the eyes. In the south wing, the architect has put the garage, guest bedroom, and additional space for a variety of needs.
