A House In Malibu From Vanessa Alexander

This house belongs to interior designer Vanessa Alexander and her family who live near the beach in Malibu. She is the head of his own company called Alexander Design which is currently based in Los Angeles. Like her works, Vanessa wants her home to look perfect that reflects her elegant and contemporary style. This house wasn’t really built from scratch, it was a wooden building from the 1960’s, in the hands of Vanessa it was then completely renovated in conjunction with the company Kovac Architects to create more openings, especially oriented towards the garden and pool.

In decorating the room, Vanessa was much inspired by the warm atmosphere of a Belgian and Dutch country house. Most of the interior consists of furniture made to size by the company itself, as well as items found and purchased especially for this home, such as a pair of Axel Einar Hjorth armchairs or a lamp by Pierre Yovanovitch.
