This beach house is perfect for those who crave tranquility, a beach shelter for occupation during summer months on Kaitoke Beach, Great Barrier Island off Auckland, New Zealand. The house consists of a main building with 3 elements, walls, interior, and the negative space between them. Although the site is small 16×52 square meters, the building has a stunning view of the beach. Herbst was designed by the architect, building a very proximate neighbors in both length limits, functions that require complete weather protection, bedroom and bathroom, kitchen and living room and boathouse, grouped into a long container like structure and is positioned along the eastern border. 2 positive elements are then connected by a roof structure that defines important negative space between, stay covered deck.
