Diane Lion Giustiniani and Jules de Laage were totally blown away by the Balinese architectural houses. This couple make their house in Ubud decorated with bamboo furniture, can even be said to be almost entirely made of bamboo. Uniquely, this Balinese house also incorporates a Bohemian vibe into the interior making it feel more ethnic with a traditional Balinese touch and a Bohemian style.
Diane Lion Giustiniani and Jules de Laage from France moved into this bamboo house in 2017, the couple wanted to live near a river, away from the hustle and bustle of Bali. This Paris native fell in love with this raw material well as she worked as an architect at IBUKU, an architectural firm founded by Canadian Elora Hardy and specializing in construction made of bamboo.
The overall design and construction of houses was carried out by Jörg Stamm, a personality who is known for his work on the bamboo which has distinctive features no right angles but curves are welcome. This home decoration consists of bamboo furniture specially made to measure the house. For the rest, Diane Lion Giustiniani wants to put her style in this interior, which she likes the most. On the one hand, he likes to hunt for Balinese and Javanese antiques as well as various travel souvenirs such as ceramics, bed linen and hammocks from Brazil that reflect a Bohemian vibe. It was the sensitivity that prompted the former hotel manager to discover Almanusia, who promotes the culture of the archipelago by organizing creative retreats to discover local craftsmen and their skills.
