Do you want to have a home as well as a fun holiday spot? Try building a timeless A-frame house. The design of this house is always timeless, has a unique facades shape similar to a triangle. As the name suggests, an A-frame house is an architectural style of home that features sharp sloping sides that usually begin at or near the foundation line, and meet at the top in the form of the letter A. This home style tends to be inspired by nature, having a ceiling that can opened, even relying on an open interior concept.
Initially, A-frame house designs were only used in cabins or holiday homes. A-frame houses are also assembled houses that can be built quickly and easily, the cost of building this house is also cheap or half of the cost of building a house in general. Thanks to social media, A-frame houses have nostalgia and charm from a certain way of life, even A-Frame designs are now also widely applied to modern dwellings.
This house model was first introduced by Estonian architect, Indrek Kuldkepp, a founder and owner of Avrame. He first designed his own A-frame as a comfortable, efficient and affordable house that could be built quickly and easily. After Kuldkepp realized that his A-frames cost about half the number of houses he would build, he decided to start a business selling homemade A-frame kits.
Avrame currently sells 11 different A-frame models, ranging from tiny backyards to larger family-friendly versions. All models feature full-size windows to provide natural light, while the open interior style allows occupants to experience the sensation of being in nature.
A-frame house designs are actually ideal for living spaces. Although small in size, you can work around this with clever spatial arrangements. The A-frame house model doesn’t require a dividing wall, although it’s possible you can still divide the room. Use the mezzanine floor for the second floor, or add a deck on the terrace and backyard as the best place to relax.
